This year’s Dell’Arte holiday show is Alice in Wonderland! Imagine my excitement about that! With beautifully coloured costumes and an easily changeable door scenery we step into a modern version of the story about Alice.
Wonderland is a dreamworld where everything is possible such as crying a river, talking to a door and shrinking or getting larger when eating a record. The playful characters are what makes the play come alive and the familiarity of the old archetypes (a Commedia Capitano like White Knight) in combination with new ones (the bitchy fashionable Flowers) connects the universal with the contemporary.
